Failures: Simple and complex failures, and the points operator's duties on arrival, under GERT8000-HB4.
Moving and securing points: Checks before and after moving points, clips and scotches, switch diamonds, swing-nose crossings, and points on wooden sleepers taken out of use.
Safe working procedures: Instructions from the route-setting agent and the signaller, moving points by hand in a T3 possession, leaving points unattended, and points run through.
This is a knowledge assessment for UK rail. It has 20 questions and a time limit of 15 minutes. The pass mark is 95%. You see your result when you finish.
Use it to check what you know before a competence review, to find weak areas, or to keep your knowledge up to date. Managers can use the results to see who needs more development.
