Equipment and detonators: Hand signalling equipment, and detonator age, fitness for use and placement, under GERT8000-HB5.
Signalling and SPRS: Giving hand signals, care near a signal at danger, SPRS operation, and limited-clearance telephone signs.
Safe working procedures: When you may act as a handsignaller, intermediate handsignaller duties, trains in the right and wrong direction during Single Line Working, tent requirements, and the limits of the role.
This is a knowledge assessment for UK rail. It has 20 questions and a time limit of 15 minutes. The pass mark is 95%. You see your result when you finish.
Use it to check what you know before a competence review, to find weak areas, or to keep your knowledge up to date. Managers can use the results to see who needs more development.
